Welcome to Pathways for Achievement

Pathways for Achievement is a not-for-profit organization aimed at promoting the individual success and citizenship of  teenagers. The value structure upon which Pathways is based holds that all people have dignity and infinite worth.

How is the program organized?

Pathways for Achievement operates under a 3-dimensional structure:

  • Disciplined martial arts study.
  • Tutoring sessions.
  • Community service requirements to enable the teens to contribute to the community that supports them.

The entire program operates with the help of a quality group of adult volunteers. Experts and adult students in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do practice alongside the students to foster the development of self-discipline, goal setting, and mental and physical fitness. Qualified adults from business, educational and professional settings tutor the teens in the schoolwork. Community leaders and other volunteers provide opportunities for the teens to develop citizenship through numerous community service activities.

What other activities are available to help the teens?

Inspirational speakers and limited field trip opportunities enable the teens to increase their contact with motivated and successful adults.
